Christmas markets in Brisbane and Ipswich 2026: every Market Folk market, date and location

Looking for Christmas markets in Brisbane this year? The Market Folk is hosting seven free Christmas markets across the city between Friday 27 November and Saturday 19 December 2026. Every stallholder is handpicked, so you can tick off your Christmas list with handmade, locally designed gifts and support small Queensland makers at the same time.

Here is every market, in date order, with times, locations and everything you need to plan your visit.

Christmas shopping at Riverlink, Ipswich

Heading west? Our markets at Riverlink, Cnr Downs St and The Terrace, North Ipswich, run on Sunday 22 November from 8.30am to 3pm and on Saturday 19 December from 9am to 9pm. Please note dogs are not permitted at Riverlink. Read more about our Riverlink markets

Expect a curated line-up of local makers and designers with gifting in mind: jewellery, ceramics, candles, art, homewares, fashion and gourmet treats. You will find pieces you won't see in a shopping centre. We share each market's stallholder line-up on our blog and on Instagram @themarketfolk closer to the day.

Tips for your visit

  • Arrive early for the best pick of one-off and limited pieces.
  • Bring a reusable bag for your gifts.
  • Twilight markets are cooler and great for an evening out, especially with dinner nearby.
  • Bring your dog on a lead to any of our Christmas markets, and to Gasworks Plaza for Santa Paws photos.

When are The Market Folk's Christmas markets in 2026?

We have seven Christmas markets between Friday 27 November and Saturday 19 December 2026: King Street (27 November), Boggo Road Village (29 November and 11 December), Heritage Lanes (2 December), Gasworks Plaza (5 and 12 December) and Portside Wharf (19 December).

Are there twilight Christmas markets in Brisbane?

Yes. We have four twilight Christmas markets: King Street, Bowen Hills on 27 November (4pm to 9pm), Boggo Road Village on 11 December, Gasworks Plaza on 12 December and Portside Wharf on 19 December (all 4pm to 8pm).

Is entry free?

Yes. Entry to all of our Christmas markets is free and there is no need to book.

Are the Christmas markets dog friendly?

Yes. Dogs on a lead are welcome at all seven Christmas markets. Dogs are not permitted at our Riverlink markets in Ipswich.

Where can I get Santa Paws photos with my dog in Brisbane?

At both of our Gasworks Plaza Christmas markets in Newstead, on Saturday 5 December (9am to 1pm) and Saturday 12 December (4pm to 8pm). Santa Paws photos are a paid add-on, and pricing and times will be shared closer to the day.

Is there a Christmas market in the Brisbane CBD?

Yes. The Heritage Lanes Christmas Market at 80 Ann Street runs on Wednesday 2 December 2026 from 11.30am to 2.30pm.
