What began as a humble rack sale and creative market in Morningside back in 2015 has blossomed into one of Brisbane’s most loved market collectives. The Market Folk also has hosted successful collaborations with Westfield, evolving into a 12 month long pop-up store at Westfield Carindale. The Market Folk has hosted over 100 events across Brisbane, we've worked with venues such as Heritage Lanes, Gasworks Plaza, Portside Wharf, Fish Lane Arts Precinct, Stones Corner Hotel, Circle on Cavill, Soul Boardwalk and hosted pop-up markets at Westfield Carindale for over 12 months.
The Market Folk successfully hosted multi day pop-up markets at Westfield Carindale, the impact from these events led us to opening a pop-up consignment store trading for over 12 months and serving over 10,000 transactions. Using our custom-designed plywood pop-up fit-out, the store created a warm and inviting space that beautifully showcased a rotating lineup of local makers and creatives. It was not only a retail destination but also a testament to the power of thoughtful design, community connection, and the strength of the small business movement.
