As the days are heating up, the monthly Gasworks markets are moving back to a Friday night twilight market, and we can’t think of a better way to kick off than packing the gasometer greenspace with puppies!
After the popular success of the Dog’s Day Out market in June, there will be even more activities for you and your dog this time around! The Mr Teddy Bear grooming team will have your dog looking their best for their photo op in front of a luminous backdrop. Wind down with dog yoga led by Fur Get Me Not, a much cooler alternative to a long walk in the October heat. If you’re looking for a sweet treat, there’s something for you and your dog. Hugo’s ice creamery will help your pup cope with the warming weather, while Baked by M&G are serving up adorable dog-themed cookies for humans – they’re almost too cute to eat!
We’re over the moon about the exciting products on offer too! With 15 dog-themed stalls spread amongst the fun, we’re paws-itive you won’t be able to resist the gorgeous products on offer. Choose from dozens of accessories to make sure your pup is dressed in the latest fashions for their summer walks – you’re sure to find something that suits your style. ess Irvine is the heart-over-head folk-pop singer-songwriter your playlist has been missing on long drives, weekend picnics, Tuesday brunches and every day in between. And yet, she feels familiar somehow.
Based in Brisbane’s north, Jess has spent the last seven years as lead singer, tambourinist and professional flowy-dress-twirler for bands The Counterfeit Umbrellas and The Lighthearts.
With The Lighthearts, she’s played the Caloundra Music Festival and Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers, received commercial radio airplay and made national television appearances.
Combining influence from folk legends James Taylor, Carole King and Joni Mitchell with modern-day muses Maggie Rogers, Clare Bowen and The Lumineers, Jess’ songs bottle her life lessons into heartfelt mantras for the modern-day dreamer.
FREE Activities
This Friday night we are offering Dog Yoga by Fur Get Me Not on the inner lawn at 6pm and 8pm – there are limited spots in each session so we recommend registering your interest on arrival! Cassandra will be offering free training sessions casually throughout the night so make sure to stop by.
Back by popular demand is Mr Teddy Bear Grooming offer free express grooming treatments to friendly attendees! There may be long queues so ensure to socially distance in the allocated area.
Photo Time
Following our epic instagram photo wall in June we have arranged for a very bright installation to serve the perfect backdrop for those family photos this Friday night. Please ensure to socially distance around the photo area as it has proved a popular attraction!
